Let me start by saying: what a great site, just what I'm looking for! I've been spending quite a lot of time in Thailand, the only thing I missed was bike riding. So now one of my bikes is in Hua Hin, I intend to do quite a lot of riding when I'm there in December and January. Riding alone is not the best, so one or more companions would be great.
I'll introduce myself. My name is Freek, I'm Dutch and 54 years of age (55 in December!). I have a history in bike racing (road bikes), and still like to do a fair pace. I don't ride regularly anymore, but when i'm in Thailand (Hua Hin) I like to ride every other day.
So, I ride a road bike, I like to do a pace of 25 kms to 30 kms an hour, and like to do 2 or 3 hour runs. I'd like to extend that a bit, and get into the hilly areas a bit more. Although I'm used to ride without stopping for a rest, I'm trying to adjust, and enjoy a bit more. Sabai sabai!
I'm quite knowledgable about bike riding and bikes themselves, so i can give advice too. Its not about the latest tecnology IMO, its all about enjoying the ride!
So if anyone would like to ride with me, i'm in Hua Hin from December 20th to January 15th. You can contact me directly at

Kaprun krap!
