Ok, whilst I was on the Tour de Isan, Christopher talked about someone crazy enough to ride a Samlor on the Tour de Thailand.... 



~ I'm wondering where you could find one?

~ What would need to be done to it to make it ride able for 2300kms?

~ How do you make it comfortable for the rider/s?

~ How can Tour de Thailand get some more media coverage out of it?

Check out the Bangkok Bike Hash... bangkokbikehash.org once a month 2 days, about 80km singletrack mostly.... good people friendly bunch.

There is little or no hills within 150km of bangkok, if you've got a car and racks/space then you can get out and ride in nice countryside.

Otherwise ur stuck in Bangkok Traffic, not fun!

Did my second 160km road ride on the weekend! Here are some stats from the day… This was all done on my MTB, so I'm pretty happy with my results.

First 50km: 28.3 kms/hour (1.8 hours)
Second 50km: 20.4 kms/hour (2.5 hours)
Third 50km: 19.6 kms/hour (2.6 hours)

First 80km: 26.2 kms/hour (3.1 hours)
Second 80km: 18.8 kms/hour (4.3 hours)

Total 160km: 21.9 kms/hour (7.3 hours)
--------------------------------------

Would love some peoples feedback, did it on a MTB 2.10 tires at 60psi... 115kg for rider and bike I don't know if this is good or bad... but like an idea!

1-Frame : The participate bike must be the MTB frame only
2-Tyres size : 26inch with (I'm not sure this is the exact translation since I'm not familiar with MTB terms., pls wait for confirmation from other reply or ask you friend)
3-Front tyres thickness at 1.8 thickness and above
4-No aero-bar
5-All bike need to be inspected by the race committee

I want to find hills to ride, someone has suggested riding the carpark to get some 'hill work' in..  but i'm little worried about getting hit by a car, being a car park and all.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I think we should have a path riding day with 50 cyclist all riding along the 'bike lanes' no that would be funny!!! And maybe get the point across...

That the footpath is not the place for bicycles!
