I am continuing to hammer my Michelin Speedium 700x25c tires to test how good they are.  The only flat was not the tires but a dud valve.  By the way these tires are made in Thailand.  They provide a fantastic ride over rough cracked roads at 20 mph and I have also been traveling over a patch of light gravel trail at up to 20 mph with them.  Their only weak point seems to be in tread life, it is wearing away quicker than the Continental tires.  I am not in love with Armadillos, they ride terrible, they are too heavy, not great to mount on the rims, and while the treads are strong against punctures, I had one blow off the rim on a hot day on blacktop, and that never happened to a Continental.

I am also running Michelin Speedium 700x25c tires on my Rocky Mountain Whistler 50. The tires were easy enough to mount but getting them round on the rims was a different story. Had to lube the tire sidewall up before they would sit even on the rims. Running 100 psi and so far I am happy with their performance. Have almost 1000 miles on them and the rear tire is showing slight wear. Have had no flats with them. Most of my riding is on paved road with 10% on trails and gravel roads. The only mistake I made was putting self sealing tubes in them as every few weeks one has to top his tires up as they slowly loose air. With these tubes if you don't get the pump on right the first time the slime gets in the valve stem then you can't get air into them. I removed them and went back to regular tubes.
